“PLAY” is an interactive audiovisual installation that is activated through the triggering of MIDI buttons by passerby. Users explore rhythm and improvisation with this installation, creating collaborative and impromptu sequences that are both visual and musical.

Stephanie Houten is an interdisciplinary artist working with time-based media. Her works are usually in the form of video installation and short videos. Utilizing rhythm and audiovisual synchronicity and the translation of these devices across mediums, Stephanie incorporates interactivity and improvisation in many of her installation works.
